All-Star Night at Lowes Motor Speedway - Inglin Victorious in First Segment...
Three segments make up the All-Star night for NASS Lightning drivers. The AMSOIL team had to race their way into the ALL-Star event. Diligence paid off dividends as a great call from the pits resulted in a victory in the first segment. Luck ran out however as a loose race car ended a promising night early.
Kevin Inglin - "It was an up and down night for the AMSOIL Pontiac. We didn’t have the strongest car tonight but I have to tip my hat to the crew chief as he made the right call in the first segment to get us on a different pit strategy. After that, all I had to do was hang on and make it to the finish. I can’t tell you how excited I was to bring the AMSOIL colors into victory lane for the first time."
"Segment two was not as kind to us. I’m not sure what happened between segments but the car was extremely loose and I just plain lost it. I hate it for the team, especially after our success in the first segment. We were in a good position for the rest of the night and it’s just a shame the driver messed up. The car just snapped out sideways coming off turn four. I tried to use the throttle to turn the car back straight but it put us down on the apron and after that I was just along for the ride. "
