Left, Right, Left - No it's not a march...
This week the NASS Lightning warriors took to the two mile Infineon raceway in Sonoma California. A break from the norm, this twisty, turn road course winds it's way through the NAPA valley in search of those who have prowess in the art of turning right for a change.
It was a decent run for the ECI Enterprises AMSOIL Pontiac. A sixth place starting place kicked off the evening as the first several laps were uneventful. Tire wear would factor however as the right front went down just eight laps into the 45 lap event.
Kevin Inglin - "I slid the tires early in the first segment; I guess I just over drove the car trying to stay in the top five. The right front was flat spotted and we had no choice but to duck in and change it. We had to adjust our pit strategy as the early pitstop resulted in worn tires at just about the three-quarter mark. It's a shame as we were pretty quick during the middle segment and made up a lot of ground. It wasn't our plan to do a three race stop but we still hung on for an ninth place finish.
